Service Description
The aim of this online discussion group is to raise awareness among artists from a wide range of practices around different topics relating to sustainable design. Just as the Shen Foundation teaches, we seek to deepen people's awareness of various human, environmental and spiritual issues, in that case, through art and design. Ultimately, these encounters will open up discussions to elevate questioning and reasoning related to sustainable well-being, for a more ethical and responsible material culture. On a weekly basis, a theoretical reference will be provided to introduce discussions. These discussions aim to gather personal and professional experiences, shedding light on often overlooked and abstract artistic topics. While the club emphasizes on theoretical subjects, we believe in a human-centered learning approach by creating a space where emotions and vulnerability are celebrated. Academic background is not mandatory. Examples of topics: Pleasure of the familiar and unfamiliar Empathic design Design the futur with the past Primitive design Designers and their ego Energetic design This club will be hosted by Victor Montour, graduate of MAS in Design for luxury and craftsmanship at École Cantonale d'art de Lausanne, Switzerland. Montour also studied architecture, urbanism and object design in Montréal, where he grew up.
